It’s not real often that I get SUPER PUMPED about a new album coming out. BUT, on June 26th, Marc Broussard will be releasing his new album “S.O.S.: Save our Soul.” And I just have to say, I am pumped. So much that it is actually set in my calendar on my treo with an alarm to remind me to go buy it that day.I call his style “Bayou Soul.” The guy can hit a multitude of pitches with his voice. He has a voice very few people are blessed with in this world. Trying to express in words how it reverberates is unfeasible. He has an expressive voice filled with bluesy and soulful harmonies that most singers would make a deal with the devil for. When I hear his music, I feel goose bumps on my arms.Simply Stunning.I also like the fact that he comes from Christian roots. After Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, Broussard did an album titles “Bootleg to Benefit the Victims of Hurricane Katrina” from which all of the proceeds helped families in need.It’s not often you see someone with such talent who is also in touch with the real world and real needs.
