Haven’t said it in a while, but someone asked me this week. What is a mind dump? Well, have you ever felt like your mind is just cluttered? On Sundays, I am usually so pumped up that I can’t sleep unless I process the day’s events. A mind dump is when you grab some paper (or in my case a keyboard) and write everything that you need to do, everything that is bothering you, everything that worries you, anything you regret, wishes, hopes, etc as quickly as possible. This has the effect of clearing out your mental closet.
You should try it sometime…so here it is, the Sunday Mind Dump:
- Today was the most remarkable day EVER at TCC!
- I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by our Church and our commitment to God!
- God is AMAZING!
- If you missed our Commitment Sunday today at The PAC, I pity your poor poor life. There WAS NOT ANY BETTER place you could have been today from 10:30-11:30am. I wouldn’t have missed it for ANYTHING. If the President himself called me today and wanted to do an early lunch I would have told him to take a raincheck.
- You WILL NOT BELIEVE the total of commitments that you made to Something So Big today…be at church this coming week to hear it.
- The opening song of the service was one of the most jaw dropping things we’ve ever done at TCC.
- The staff at The PAC did a great job working with us today. Thanks to Don, Caleb, and Brandon for their hard work! Also, thank you to the volunteers from the BSM at Texas State that came and helped out.
- My mother in law, Heidi, has been visiting all week. She has been a huge help while being here. She leaves in the morning and I am sad. It is always really hard to say bye to family. Pray for Amber because she’ll have a hard time in the morning.
- Friday was one of the coolest days ever! I took Amber, Couper, and Heide to the San Antonio Zoo and we had a BLAST. Sea Otters love me…we aren’t sure why, but anytime we go anywhere that has them, they stand up and look at me and TOTALLY IGNORE everyone else…kinda freaky!
- Seriously, today was AMAZING. Hope you were there…
- I did three magic shows last week. LOVE doing those!
- One of them was at our leadership event on Saturday. Had a blast doing some magic for the team!
- Radiohead has me baffled. More on that this week.
- MAN I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT GOD DID TODAY! Sorry…

- And last, and perhaps most important of all, at our leadership event on Saturday night, Andy Rhoades and I were talking to one of the hostesses at the restaurant as we greeted people. We were sharing about our church with her and she said “I LOVE music, but I am not that religious.” “PERFECT!” I thought. Neither am I…at any rate, we never really got anywhere in the conversation because we had to get inside. But my mind has been fixed on this young lady for the last 24 hours because her eternity is hanging in the balance. I woke up this morning upset at myself because if she died today, she would not be in Heaven with us. THAT absolutely tears me up inside. I don’t even know her name, but pray for her, that God would use someone…anyone to show His love to her.
