Hurricane IKE is headed right towards us here in Texas.
We have a lot of friends down at Bay Area Fellowship church in Corpus Christi. I sent one of their pastors, John Atkinson, an e-mail a couple of days ago just letting him know that we could open homes for anyone needing to evacuate.
But now it looks like Corpus might just be getting sunshine! Looks like we’ll be getting slammed sometime Saturday. So I get this e-mail reply from John as IKE shifts towards us:
“Yea it sure is looking like it. You all know you have a place to come here. If it looks like it’s going to continue to move north we’ll stay here and open our home for you guys instead. Keep in touch and know you all have a place with us.” -John
Wouldn’t that be crazy? We live 3 hours inland…maybe we should go seek shelter at the coast with the Bay Area Fellowship team. 
Just thought it was a cool illustration of the incredible relationships we have been able to build with other pastors all over the country. God is amazing!
