I drove home today. 7 hours all to myself. I had some hard hitting reminders and realizations as I drove. Crazy what you can meditate on and give some serious thinking time to in 7 hours on the road. Here they are:
- My wife is INCREDIBLE. I mean absolutely amazing. I’ve never met anyone like her.
- My son is more important than anything (after God and my wife!)
- My dad has a tattoo now, and my siblings and I gave it to him for Christmas. Weird. I didn’t say all of these things would be spiritual.
- I’m speeding! (As I saw the highway patrolman’s lights go on…)
- I have a LOT to do in 2009.
- The Connection Church is an absolute God thing. Nothing can explain what all has happened.
- The Connection Church hasn’t arrived. We’re just getting started…
- I need to dream more God-sized dreams.
- I need to learn how to lead people to get more done with less effort in less time. It is possible. Synergy.
- I need to be more patient.
- I need to take a 2 or 3 day sabbatical with absolutely no technology buzzing at me.
- I had better get my knee looked at.
- and last…I hope we have eggs and cheese at home.
