My 2009 Reading List

One of my goals for 2009 is to read 40 books. You can see the covers of the books I have chosen below or click on the 2009 reading list to view them. If you have any of them and would be willing to trade, its probably going to be more challenging for me to buy the books than it is for me to read them. Shoot me an e-mail if you want to trade at zak AT zakwhite DOT com.

Another challenge was to find a good way to manage my books. Goodreads.com solved my issues. Its 100% free and allows you to track books by sorting them into shelves. Pretty creative. You can also rate, review, share, and add personal notes to books. It even has a spot for you to mark whether you own the book or not. Perfect for anyone with tons of books that needs a good way to track them.

You’ll notice my list only has 39 books on it. That will leave me room for a new release. I’m sure this list will change a little as the year goes by. What are you reading this year? Right now?

Ultramarathon man is good and should be a quick read. I borrowed it from a friend last year. It takes insanity to the next level. It makes you realize that the human body and mind are capable of alot more than most people realize.

that would ROCK. i have sex God and unchristian. but I’d pay to send the others…maybe. it might be just as cheap to buy them.

best ever leadership book: Next Generation Leader by Andy Stanley

best ever preaching book: Not sure on that one. Haven’t really read a lot of books on preaching. A book called “Mind Mapping” by Michael Gelb really helped me with HOW I preach, as far as notes and memorizing goes.

Calvin Miller has a great looking book on preaching called “The Sermon Maker.” I have it, but haven’t read it.

Rick Warren’s “Purpose Driven Church” was also helpful with preaching.

I also noticed that I typed Death by Love twice when I intended for one of those to be crazy love.
