11 Feb 2009Man Advice on Valentine’s Day. Don’t you dare stop reading this until the end.
Every woman yearns to be fought for. She wants to be more than noticed – she wants to be wanted. She wants to be pursued.
Here’s just one way to pursue her:
Give her a pleasant surprise: be an artist of surprises.
Create a day long experience for her for Valentine’s Day full of surprises. Have her wake up to breakfast or a note on the mirror where she gets ready. Hide a bunch of hearts in her car’s visor so that when she opens it, she gets showered with a surprise. Just before lunch, call her and tell her to be ready at 7:00pm to go out. At lunch, have flowers delivered to her.
These are just a few ideas. Be creative…do something crazy that you would never normally do.
Then, top the whole day off with a hand written love letter. Here is an awesome website to help you with that (thanks Douglas.)
If you are a slacker and haven’t made dinner reservations yet, go to opentable right now and do it.
I don’t care if you have been married for 35 years and you are just so set in your ways that you are refusing and laughing as you read this. Your wife deserves to be treated like a princess. You are NOT a real man if you can’t treat her like a princess for at least this one day out of the year.
In Wild at Heart, John Eldredge says, “Most men want the maiden without any sort of cost to themselves. They want all the joys of the beauty without any of the woes of the battle.”
Will you fight for her?
