Marathon Mind Dump

- Had a blast this weekend. We had friends from Lubbock in for the San Antonio Rock N Roll Marathon (thanks Oglesbys! had a blast!) so the house was packed!
- My Dad was in town too for the race.
- I ran my worst race time ever. Nice.
- I do have a couple of “excuses.” First, training for marathons and planting a church at the same time is TOUGH.
- Second, I stopped to help one guy during the race that was screaming bloody murder. He keep screaming “CRAMP! CRAMP!” It took about 10 minutes for a medical team person to show up. That knocked my time down a little.
- I was reminded once more (as I am with every marathon) that 26.2 miles is a LONG STINKING WAY to run!
- Today, my legs and hips are sore like nobody’s business and I have some nasty blisters on my toes.
- NEVER EVER run in Nikes. Sheesh.
- Heard from my team that it was an incredible day at our Revolution Launch Team Meeting yesterday. John Atkinson spoke to the team and did an amazing job! Thanks John!
- Huge week coming up! Hoping to have most everything prepped and ready to go for our December 13th service by the end of the week.
- Pumped up about the holidays!
- Looking for creative ways to serve our community for Christmas. Anyone have any good ideas?
