My new blog buddy Brett Trapp wrote this post on 28 things he’s learned in his 20’s. Since I am so much older and wiser than Brett (3 whopping months) and since I loved it so much, I thought I’d take each of those things and elaborate on them over the next several days.
25. God made people VERY different. If we stop trying to make people think and act like we do, 50% of our relational frustrations will disappear. -Trappstr
There is nowhere you can go and only be with people who are like you. Give it up.
I believe that growing an appreciation of people’s differences is one essence of a rich and rewarding life. Different people, with different hopes, beliefs, and dreams make a beautiful mosaic!
26. College was awesome. Why didn’t I stay longer??? -Trappstr
College was a formality. A mere hurdle in life that I felt I just had to jump over. I will say this: living with my roommate, Michael Scott was a freaking blast. I could have stayed with that longer. Never had so much fun! Oh, and Brett, you can always go back.
27. I don’t have it all figured out–about 20% at best. -Trappstr
20% ?!?!?!
MAN! You are incredible! I think I’m more at the 6% range.
28. I’m the most blessed person in the world. -Trappstr
Gotta disagree…that would be me.
Wanna fight it out?
