The Tithe Mind Dump

- Today was week two of Triple Dog Dare at Revolution Church. Todays dare was “I triple dog dare you to tithe.”
- Pastor Michael Robison preached with me. Really we just did a conversation based on a few points rather than a “normal” sermon. It was a blast and an honor to share the stage with this man.
- Here is the most cray cray part…we had at least 2 people accept Christ today! LOVE IT!
- By the way, “cray cray” is the replacement for “crazy” that I learned I need to be saying if I want to be cool while I was in Atlanta this week.
- I thought of this during the sermon today and shared it. We do NOT preach the prosperity gospel at Revolution. Here is why: The prosperity gospel says “I give so that I can GET blessed by God.” At Revolution we say “I give because I AM blessed by God!”
- When it comes to your money, 90% with the blessings of God goes further than 100% without. We have got to put Jesus at the center of EVERY area of our lives – even our wallets.
- When you choose to put Him at the center of some areas of life you are living our a cafeteria Christianity. Its like you are saying “I’ll have a little of this and a little of that, but none of that.” Jesus called us to go ALL IN!
- Very technically speaking, to not return the tithe to the LORD is stealing from God. Don’t believe me? Go read this.
- Pastor Micah was really really really sweaty today. He wasn’t feeling 100% and still brought it like nobody’s business. Love having him on our team. Tell him thank you for what he does this week and honor him Revolution Church!
- A young lady in the church gave me the coolest gift EVER today…a pair of custom made Revolution Church chuck taylors! Of course, I immediately put them on. Check them out in the pics below. They even have “REV YOUR LIFE” stitched on them!
