Smelly Preacher Mind Dump

Zak White —  November 11, 2012
  • Today I ran the San Antonio Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and then preached three services at Revolution. I don’t recommend doing that…
  • I literally walked in 5 minutes before I had to preach in the first service. I stunk BAD. Preached in my running clothes…just slapped some jeans on.
  • Someone right at the end of the race had a HUGE sign that said “GO ZAK” and screamed at me. I didn’t get a good look…so if that was you, tell me and THANK YOU!
  • We talked about how God has marked us today for Inked week 2. If you missed it, its live on the REV APP now or you can check it out right here.
  • Yes, I sang my own version of Jay Z’s 99 problems in the sermon.
  • Next week we will wrap up Inked and I’ll show you the half sleeve I got just for the Inked series. We will also have Baptism after the 1:00pm service.
  • Speaking of the 1:00pm service…did you know that ONE O’CLOCK ROCKS? If you don’t know what I mean, come check out the ONE O’CLOCK this coming Sunday!
  • I also introduced our Christmas Offering today. We do this every year over the holidays and it always blows my mind how our church steps up and unleashes generosity on our community and our world. I can’t wait to share with you what we will be doing with The Christmas Offering! More info soon.
  • The REV Band put together a sweet song and spoken word piece during the service today to honor our Veterans. I saw lots of tears during every worship experience.
  • LOVED seeing our Veterans in uniform at church! It was awesome to talk to so many of them and hear their stories of serving us and protecting our freedom!
  • We had a fight in our lobby today. Awesome. Shows that we are reaching the right direction! Our kids pastor, Connie, jumped in and diffused the situation. Don’t you mess with Mrs. Connie. She will cut ya!
  • Here are a few favorite shots from the day. All photos can be found here.
