I keep saying, “I am not buying an iPhone” but I am catching the iPhone FEVER BADLY. Most people will buy one just because it is a cool entertainment tool. Of course, that is one reason I would want one, but I see it as more of a productivity tool. I use my treo 650 religiously to e-mail, text, check stuff on the web, blog, post pics, post video, keep a calendar, view and write excel sheets, word docs, and powerpoints, record calls, watch videos, and more. Heck, my treo even wakes me up each morning. But the iPhone…wow! It does most of that stuff but looks cooler and seems to be more seamless. The biggest feature to me is having the regular, full internet in the palm of your hand. My treo lets me view stuff on the net, but it is a text version of the net. I can’t imagine being able to view my google homepage at any time, anywhere. And the fact that the iphone automatically switches between wifi and your data connection is STINKING AWESOME.Being a mac guy, I almost have to get one of these babies. But I shouldn’t. But I must…AHHHHHH!
the world is a different place…
because of developments from Apple like this…I can’t believe what all Apple is doing. Pretty soon, I’ll just cancel my cable and only need a fast internet connection…I won’t even have a local station antenna! HAHA!
the ELUSIVE iphone
So, I am about to POP because of the LONG AWAITED iphone. I think Jobs and the rest of the APPLE crew are all geniuses. They build these products up with so much hype…who could resist being interested at the very least???I want an iphone badly, but it will all depend on price, 3rd party apps, and business functionality as to whether or not I buy one. My treo does everything I need it to VERY WELL. But the iphone has the coolness factor. I love reading all the iphone rumors. Most likely, the iphone will be too much of an entertainment novelty and not enough of a functional business phone for me. But, I am hoping for the best. If Jobs opens development up to all the 3rd parties, I’m totally there…fingers crossed.:)
