In the morning, I will attempt to run my longest race yet…the Cowtown Ultra Marathon. 50 kilometers. How far is that?

50 kilometers = 31.0685596 miles

Yikes. 31. Miles.

According the Cowtown website, there are 18 men in my division. Coming off of my knee injury & a terrible race season, I am just hoping to finish.

I’ll be running with my dad and my good friend Wendy Oglesby. I’ll also have the good old iPhone again, so watch my twitter & facebook for video updates. :)

  • Crazy AWESOME day at Revolution Church today!
  • Two people accepted Christ! THAT is why we bust our backs every week!
  • We made a BIG announcement today. We’ll be launching a second service on February 21st! MO SEATS FOR YO PEEPS. Check out the video and details here.
  • Speaking of, does anyone know where I can buy a TON of PEEPS marshmellow candies for cheap?
  • If you aren’t serving in a ministry at Revolution, we need you to join the SERVOLUTION to help us serve the PEEPS!
  • Also, on February 21st, we’ll start a new message series called “Let’s Get Dangerous!“
  • Mucho thanks to the band, David our sound tech, and our new bassist, Shawn. Those guys TORE. IT. UP. TODAY.
  • I had one of those days today where I just felt “off” with the message.
  • The church nightmares kicked in last night. Always funny. Haven’t had those crazy dreams since I was Executive Pastor at The Connection Church.
  • Watching my bud David Thomas play in the SuperBowl today. Makes watching the game mucho more fun!
  • The team intros to the superbowl are on as I type this. CBS is having serious SOUND issues. Somebody’s getting fired.

The Saturday Night Shots…

  • PUMPED about tomorrow at Revolution Church! Hope I get some sleep!
  • PUMPED about the incredible team God has built (and continues to build) at Revolution. It blows me away!
  • PUMPED about seeing lives changed.
  • PUMPED about sharing some BIG NEWS at Revolution tomorrow!
  • PUMPED about the SuperBowl. I have a friend from High School that starts for the Saints. Hope he gets a ring! He’s an incredible, Godly young man that has always honored God. Now, God is honoring him!
  • NOT PUMPED that my first Ultra Marathon (31 miles) is in 3 weeks. My training has been terrible. My left knee is having lots of issues…but there’s no backing out now. I’m going to get a shirt made for the race that says “Ultra SLOW Ultra Marathoner.”
  • NOT PUMPED that its supposed to be rainy all week. GO AWAY RAIN.
