The Easter Offering

I am excited about our opportunity at Revolution Church to give above and beyond our regular giving this weekend. The Easter Offering is a special opportunity for us to go all in for the vision at Revolution. Through this special offering we will accomplish two things:

1. We will get to fund our orphanage in Haiti for an entire year. This money provides all of the basic needs to 48 kids. Their food, clothing, shelter, education and sanitation needs will all be met. And my favorite, the Gospel will be presented (and already is) to them every week.

2. We will get to expand our building into the undeveloped 2,200 square feet that we have. Our worship area will grow and each kids area will grow. Our kiddos are out of space! I am excited about providing a better and bigger environment for them.

Easter at Revolution Church

Here are some tips to make your Easter Experience at Revolution Church top notch:

Arrive early. Our Street Team (that’s the guys that park cars) will work to make your experience great from the start by guiding you to available parking. Once you enter the church, you will be greeted by a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. A Guest Services volunteer will assist you in getting your kids checked in at one of our kid’s check in stations. If you have kids and this is your first time, allow a few extra minutes to check-in your kids.
If it will be your first time, you are our V.I.P.!!! We call our first time guests, “V.I.P.’s” because you are very important to us. During the worship experience, be sure to fill out the Connection Card. After the worship experience is over, stop by the purple V.I.P. tent and hand them your card. They have a gift for you to honor you for being our guest!
Bring somebody! Bring your family, friends, neighbors or anyone else that might not have a place to worship for Easter. Everyone is welcome! A simple invitation can change someone’s life.
Come ready to celebrate! Sunday is going to be a huge party…we plan on celebrating God and all He has done to provide forgiveness and power for our lives!
Serve - If you are a member or regular attender of Revolution Church, we encourage you to serve in two services this Easter with one of our REV Teams. Get your kiddos in the EGG GRAB. After each service we will have a HUGE EGG GRAB for kids ages birth – 6th grade. There will be tens of thousands of eggs full of candy. We will also be giving away some big prizes. After church, just take your security tag to the same area where you checked your kids in to pick them up. Then head straight across the parking lot to our egg grab field!
Last, come prepared to give to The Easter Offering. This is a special opportunity we have as a church to make a difference in our community as well as at our orphanage in Haiti. Check out the full details here.

Jelly Bean Mind Dump

My son Couper turned five yesterday. I CANNOT BELIEVE he is already five years old. MY GOSH!
We wrapped up ALL IN today at Revolution Church.
The message was all about our hearts!
My favorite point from the day was the opening: “Brang it! Brang it! Brang it! Brang it!”
To kick off the day we gave everyone a custom printed poker chip that has our icon and says “Brang it! Brang it! Brang it! Brang it!” These will serve as reminders to BRANG people into the house on Easter Sunday!
My money shows where my heart is. Matthew 6:21
My money declares who my master is. Matthew 6:24
My money can be a blessing or a curse. Proverbs 3:9-10; Malachi 3:8-10
To close out the message I did an illustration with a bucket full of jelly beans. It was a blast, and powerful! Oh, and very messy!

We also had in secret shopper, Michael Lukaszewski. Michael is a friend of mine and it was an honor to have him with us. Pastors, if you’ve brought in a secret shopper, call this guy and DO IT. He will spot things that you are missing…sometimes tiny little things and sometimes big things. We do this at least twice a year at Revolution Church and it has been a gamechanger for us!

Maniac Mind Dump

We kicked off a new series today called ALL IN.
The big idea of the day can be summed up in one question: If God answered every single prayer you prayed this week, how many people would have gotten saved?
Did you catch that? Pause. Let it sink in.
In poker, if your style of play is characterized by always checking and only playing hands in the highest range, they call you passive. But if you play risky, bet a lot and go for it, even when it doesn’t make sense, they call you a maniac! I want to be a maniac for Christ!
We have got to pray for boldness and then step out and be bold. Pray like the first church in Acts 4:29
Life is not about us. It’s about going out & being on mission as the church!
Jesus Christ went all in for us on the cross. Now we have got to go all in for Him!
What did Christ care most about? People far from God!
I challenged people to go All In today to close the service. It was awesome to see nearly the entire room stand together in a powerful moment!
The Revolution Band BLEW MY MIND today. I have never been a part of such a powerful, energetic, authentic worship service in my life. WOW! Pastor Micah, thanks for honoring God and leading faithfully! I am so glad we held out and hired a true leader…not just a dude that sings and plays guitar!

That said, I head out for Haiti tomorrow with my main man of ushering power, Jeffrey Painter.
We are taking two HUGE duffels (100 pounds each) to Haiti full of stuff that the orphanages need. The coolest part is that YOU, Revolution Church, brought all the stuff. In fact you brought more than we can carry…WAY MORE. Don’t worry, we will get it all there someway…
I am FIRED UP that we get to sponsor our own orphanage in Haiti! Awesome!
