- PUMPED about the incredible weekend we had. Lots of travel, lots of food, and lots of family! Also, I ran the Cowtown Half Marathon in Ft. Worth this morning with my dad. It was 30 degrees and we ran the first two miles straight into 36 mile an hour winds. NASTY. But, I finished alongside my Dad (for the first time ever; usually I’m ahead of him but I wanted to run with him today) and has a BLAST!
- PUMPED that my parent brought my childhood, handmade by my grandad TOYBOX. I’m going to clean it up and it will be Couper’s.
- PUMPED about the new series called Famous Last Words we’ll be starting in the morning at The Connection Church.
- PUMPED about a top secret creative element in the services tomorrow that is going to take ALL OF US at TCC to a WHOLE NUTHA’ LEVEL.
- PUMPED about some other BIG STUFF that I can’t give details on…yet.
- PUMPED that we are having the BIG HUNT at the Thunder Hill Raceway. BOOOYAH. I know lots of churches with Easter Egg Hunts, but none that have one with 20,000 plus eggs hidden on a NASCAR sanctioned race track. HECK YES! COME ON!
- NOT PUMPED about nothing.

- Cole preached on purity. Awesome message!
- Most memorable quote from Cole: “There is NO SUCH THING AS SAFE SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE. You CANNOT put a condom on your heart.” WOW!
- Loving the vibe around Church lately. NICE.
- Maybe the vibe has something to do with Cole making a PB&J sandwich on stage and acting out a pole dance as illustrations? Hmmmm…MY EYES! AHHHH!
- I have never seen anyone turn so red in my life as I saw Pam (Cole’s wife) do today when he talked about pole dancing. LOL.
- Had our first BIG HUNT planning meeting today. Can’t believe it is already looming. We have some incredible people that are going to be leading out this year so that Cole and I can focus on something else STINKING COOL that we’ll be doing…more to come on that.
- Had a virtual “friend” show their really ugly side today. Made my blood pressure go up. I get so frustrated with Christians sometimes.
- Finished painting and re-installing my fender flares on the jeep. Yeah!
- Going to the C3 Conference this week. C’MON!
- Loving my time with God lately. He’s pretty much the man…
- Killing Cockroaches by Tony Morgan is awesome! Full review coming when I finish it…

Sunday Mind Dump
Ahhhhhhh…
- Just when I think our band can’t get any better, they go and do a set like the one we heard today. Wow!
- During “Everlasting God” in the second service our lead guitarist Jacob Hildebrand went into some kind of hypnotic rock your face off trance…I have never heard a live guitar solo that insane in my life. I am still trying to get the feeling back in my face.
- I cannot believe Easter is a week away. HOLY SCHNIKES.
- My mom is visiting. She just walked up stairs and handed me a bag of cadbury mini eggs. mmmmmmmmmmm…
- We had THE BEST group party ever tonight. More details soon. All I’ll say now is this: “Osama Bin Laden Pinata.”
- Cole brought it home today as we wrapped up our series “The Connection Church Rocks.” He talked about how important the Great Commission is.
- We sold out of our new t-shirts today…fast. I’ll try to get us some more asap. I knew we should have ordered more because these are the most kicking church shirts of all time. It’s a fact.
- The Big Hunt looms over me like a big bully…
- At the end of the first service, we commissioned my best buddy, Ben Branam, as a missionary before he heads to serve our country in Iraq. He leaves Wednesday and that makes me extremely sad. Seriously.
- This weekend rocked!
- I’m glad this weekend is almost over!
- Couper walked about 15 feet today. I just about cried when I saw him do it. Time is evil and ruthless…he turns one in just a few weeks. Wasn’t he just born?
- I grilled the best burgers ever tonight. The meat came from show steers. And man they tasted good…
- Couper won’t go to bed…he should have been in bed two hours ago. I guess its our fault for partying too late with our connection group.
- Thought I had my Xterra sold this weekend. But, the guy changed his mind. I’m bummed out about that…I have dropped the price from $11,000 to just $9,500. Tell your friends!
- Our entire staff has a BIG week ahead of us. Please pray for us this week.
- Not sure if you also feel it, but I can feel God moving at our church. And he’s moving in a BIG WAY right now. Who knows what’s next…
New Series Starting on Easter: GOOGLE
We are starting a new series on Easter Sunday called “GOOGLE: Life’s Most Searched Topics.” I am pumped about it! The topics are the most searched things on Google:
- Who is God?
- Sex
- Politics
- Fame
We have never done a sermon that had anything to do with politics…that’ll be fun. I finished designing and ordering the card for the series yesterday…check it out below. This card will be mailed to 13,000 homes in our area. It also promos The Big Hunt, which is going to ROCK by the way (look at the card and see if you can find the awesome new thing we’ll be doing at The Big Hunt.)
