Ministry Blog Disclaimers

disclaimer

Honestly, this post is nothing more than a question. Can you explain to me why a lead pastor would put a disclaimer on his blog? Usually, it reads something like this:

Although my official title is pastor of <insert name here> church the ideas shared here are my own and do not reflect the position of my church.

I suppose I understand staff members having this disclaimer…but not lead pastors. I would think that the lead pastors (especially church planters) disclaimer would read something more like this:

The ideas shared here are 100% a reflection of <insert name here> church because after all, I am the lead pastor.

Everything rises and falls on leadership right?

Just a question. Learn me.

My Desktop(s)

Tony Morgan posted his desktop yesterday and asked his readers to do the same. Being the faithful reader I am, here are my desktops. Can you tell what the first background photo is? Take a guess.
This first one is my personal laptop. I do most of my work on it now.

My other two desktops are my dual monitor “creative” computer at the office, the holy grail G5 tower. Here are what those two screen look like when “clean” which NEVER happens.

Dang I Feel Special…Carlos Whitaker

Just had a conversation with someone I REALLY look up to, Carlos Whitaker.  This guy is incredible.  And, he has bigger tattoos than me…but the coolest part of the conversation was that he remembered something about me and cared enough to even try to get a copy of their message to me.  He did it just because he thought I would enjoy it.

Thanks Los.  You’re my hero.
