YOU Still Have Time…to play my Marathon Music game and win a prize. Everyone wants to know what the prize is. Surely you knew that it wasn’t a cruise, or a car, or anything BIG.

The prize is an itunes gift card! I won’t share the amount, but I will say this: notice, my blog is NOT monetized (no ads or donate buttons), so the prize card won’t be thousands of dollars. It probably won’t even be hundreds of dollars…

BUT, you should get plenty of warm fuzzys just knowing that you helped me run this marathon while listening to the perfect running playlist.

I’ll be posting the final playlist when it is finished along with the winner next Monday morning.

By the way, Steve Ethridge brought me an actual CD. That guy just might get his name in the hat twice…hint hint.

Saturday Night Thoughts

A few thoughts…

My family went to Lubbock for Thanksgiving today. I am a sad sad man.
Usually this is the part where I gripe about food because Amber is going to be gone…but Heather and Suzanne Gool brought me THREE HOME MADE LASAGNAS today!!! YES!!!
It was really cool to get out there and serve some families today for Super Service Saturday. I was on the yardwork team…GREAT JOB TCC!
I’m going to hit the BOLD button for this one…DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT miss church tomorrow. DO NOT MISS IT. We are sharing probably the BIGGEST announcement in TCC history tomorrow!
Ben, Cole, and I are watching a movie right now called “Next.” Crazy movie…it has a magician with the stage name “Frank Cadillac” in it. I just want you to know that I was “CadillacZak” WAYYYYY before this movie came out!
I ran 10 miles this morning in one hour and forty minutes flat. Not bad. I only have a TINY bit of time left to train for the event. See the countdown HERE.
Did you know they have slurpee machines on the buffet at Gatti Town??? I drank about 3 gallons of slurpee tonight and now I am feeling it.
Did I say to make sure that you DO NOT MISS CHURCH tomorrow???
It’s going to be a stinky week without my family.

Saturday Night Thoughts

Just some thoughts…

I miss my family…they’ve only been gone for a day, but the house is just terribly quiet without Couper and Amber here. Maybe I’ll give one of the dogs a bath since Couper isn’t around.
I ran 7 miles with Ben tonight at Town Lake. My legs are WOBBLY. Is wobbly a word?
It will be weird to be back at the school tomorrow after having been at The PAC last week.
The Prestige is one of my favorite movies…the end is INCREDIBLE…just watched it again tonight.
Does anyone know anything or have any experience with these?
Don’t miss celebration services tomorrow! It will be another AMAZING Something So Big day!
I have been thinking and dreaming a lot lately about what God is doing here at TCC. And let me just say this: GOD has BIG stuff for this Church coming up…
I had the most amazing conversation today with family from our church. It is so nice to be at a place where you can sit down and just be real with each other. I wouldn’t trade that for anything!

Phenomenon Week 2 – Criss Angel vs. Jim Callahan

Since the new season of 24 hasn’t started yet, I had to find some other poor show to follow and naturally, I chose the next best thing to watching Jack Bauer kill and torture tons of terrorists…magic. I am a magician here in our area and I do my own shows, so what could be better than a magical reality show right?

I’m still deciding if I made the right choice. Last night was week 2 of NBC’s Phenomenon. This guy named Jim Callahan tried to “channel” a dead spirit on live television. Stupid. In my opinion, that has NOTHING to do with magic. But whatever…stupid.

Criss Angel got angry and challenged Callahan to read the contents of an envelope he had sealed in his pocket. Criss said he’d pay 1 million dollars to either Jim or Uri if they could do it. That’s the same thing that skeptic James Randi has done for a while now.

Jim Callahan proceeded to get mad and started yelling at Criss Angel saying he was an “ideological bigot.” HAHA! Instant Jerry Springer Live Magic Show…Thank goodness that the fight was broken up because if callahan and angel got into it hell could have opened up and we could have all been consumed by demons right?

So, once again, I am torn. Criss Angel bugs me. Jim Callahan bugs me WAY MORE. Or does he? I’m not sure…Stupid. See? I can’t even type his name without typing “stupid” right after it. Sorry Jim.
