- I preached at our partner church today, Genesis Hot Wells Bible Baptist Church. WOW. I was worried that “Revolution Church” was a long name.
- ABSOLUTELY loved this church. My favorite part about the bride of Christ is how diverse it is! LOVE the diversity.
- The people at Genesis were easily the most loving, caring people I’ve met yet at a church.
- A while back I blogged about the kids at Genesis because they paid for our logo. Today before I preached, I called them up to the stage and met each one of them and gave them all a high five. INCREDIBLE BLESSING.
- It takes a ton of miracles of God anytime a new church is birthed and these kiddos were one of our first miracles. Amazing. So cool to meet them. I should have pics soon.
- Had lunch at Cheesy Jane’s in San Antonio. Dang good burger? Check! We met the owner and he said he’s looking at putting a store in Schertz! SCORE.
- Then, this afternoon and evening, three of our launch team families got together for a little Q and A session. We also finished prepping for our first block party by getting GrillZilla ready and plastering the entire neighborhood with fliers.
- Putting fliers out was a blast. We didn’t just stick them on doors…we actually knocked and met people face to face, inviting them to come to the party.
- Another faith move…no idea how we are going to buy the food for all of these people. But I know God wants us to shower them with some love and get some hang time with them!
- Pray for me this week…I have some BIG meetings and way to much to do!
- If you haven’t signed up yet, we still need some Prayer Team members for Revolution Church. Go sign up now!

Cards Galore
They are here!
The first pic is our “Gift for you” cards. We stick these on donut boxes when we do our donut drop offs or have the barista give them to the person behind us in the drive through when we buy someones coffee. Just a simple way to show our community that we love them.
The second pic shows our invite cards for our first preview service. Give me two weeks and you won’t be able go anywhere in Schertz without finding one of these bad boys.
I’m diggin’ our clean, simple look. What do you think?

All Worth It
Its been a LONG week around the Whitehouse. Couper is on a serious sleeping strike. I was supposed to ramp up marathon training this week but haven’t due to lack of sleep. Amber isn’t feeling 100%. I did not get everything done that I wanted to get done and that always beats me down. I could go on and on.
But tonight, there was a pause in the long week.
I have prayed with Couper every single night since the day he was born. And tonight for the first time ever he prayed along with me. Awesome.
We gave thanks to God for Daddy, Mama, The Boss (my dad), Shug (my mom), Moms (Amber’s mom), and Pops (Amber’s dad), Jesus, and then for trucks, dolphins, horses, and splashing stuff.
One of the most incredible moments of fatherhood so far. I cannot wait for the day I get to share Christ with him and baptize him.
Big Ugly Mind Dump
- Had blast preaching at one of our partner churches in Blanco, TX today.
- I called the pastor “big, fat and ugly” from the stage. He wasn’t there. It was perfectly OK and even suggested by a church member. Plus Pastor Rusty can take it.
- I needed to preach in a traditional church. It reminds me how much I love Christ’s bride. I don’t ever want to be one of these pastors who sees everything as a competition or puts down other churches. In fact, if you ever hear me doing that, just punch me.
- Sang a couple of old hymns at church today. It rocked!
- I can’t believe I get to serve God for a job!
- Met a lot of people this weekend. Good stuff.
- The launch team for Revolution Church is growing!
- Hanging with some team members and dinner with a potential launch team family tonight. Pray for us as we meet this new family.
- I know this is random but please pray for a guy named Ricky Garzon. Just pray that he’d get a clear direction from God. Pray for me too that I’d be a great leader to Ricky and pastor.
- I tried to take a nap this afternoon for the first time in about 2 years. Couper probably wondered what the heck dad was sleeping for. He threw a cup full of milk at me, hit my knee, and…well…we will stop this story right there.
- Seriously ready to get in the preaching every week mode. Before today it had been a LONG time since I preached. Its like a monster that builds up inside of me. It was time to let the monster out.
- Marathon training starts tomorrow morning. Y-I-K-E-S. Running 35 miles a week here I come…
