The BIG Challenge

The BIG HUNT is coming fast! We’ve got some exciting stuff in store this year.

But the BIG STAR of the event is always the HUGE NUMBER of candy filled eggs that we gather for the kids in our community to hunt. Buying and filling the eggs is one of my favorite outreaches that we do each year.

This year, we are going for 30,000 eggs! And here is the deal: Pastor Cole has agreed to have The Connection Church blocks tattooed on him if the church can come up with the 30,000 eggs. Below you’ll see an artists rendering of what he might come out looking like. :)

On top of that, if we can gather 30,000 eggs AND 100 volunteers, I will also get the logo tattooed on me. So, bring it Connection Church. Yes, I’m talking smack to all of you…

Cole is praying that we get 29,999 eggs and I am praying for about 99 volunteers. I’m kind of looking forward to watching Cole pass out on video personally. :)

Be sure to bring your candy filled eggs to church with you on Sunday and stop by the big hunt table to sign up to serve at this event.

  • PUMPED that I get to see my family tomorrow! I miss Amber and Couper BAD.
  • PUMPED about the closing of Rock of LOVE tomorrow. Cole has a message prepped that is going to ROCK your world. Don’t miss church! Bring a friend!
  • PUMPED about the Creative Church Conference that we just returned from. God spoke to me in some huge ways! More on that in the coming weeks.
  • NOT PUMPED about our HOA dues. Gotta love how companies think they can just raise rates a bunch and then tell you that an annual fee is due in a few days.
  • NOT PUMPED that I didn’t get everything done this week. I guess it will still be there on Monday.
  • PUMPED that my family gets home tomorrow…did I already say that? :)
  • PUMPED about Catalyst West and the official catalyst west tweetup. Check it if you are going!
  • PUMPED about a conversation Cole and I had on the way home from C3 this week about our connection groups. Yeah! C’mon!

Sunday Mind Dump

  • Awesome day at The Connection Church today!
  • Cole preached on purity. Awesome message!
  • Most memorable quote from Cole: “There is NO SUCH THING AS SAFE SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE. You CANNOT put a condom on your heart.” WOW!
  • Loving the vibe around Church lately. NICE.
  • Maybe the vibe has something to do with Cole making a PB&J sandwich on stage and acting out a pole dance as illustrations? Hmmmm…MY EYES! AHHHH!
  • I have never seen anyone turn so red in my life as I saw Pam (Cole’s wife) do today when he talked about pole dancing. LOL.
  • Had our first BIG HUNT planning meeting today. Can’t believe it is already looming. We have some incredible people that are going to be leading out this year so that Cole and I can focus on something else STINKING COOL that we’ll be doing…more to come on that.
  • Had a virtual “friend” show their really ugly side today. Made my blood pressure go up. I get so frustrated with Christians sometimes.
  • Finished painting and re-installing my fender flares on the jeep. Yeah!
  • Going to the C3 Conference this week. C’MON!
  • Loving my time with God lately. He’s pretty much the man…
  • Killing Cockroaches by Tony Morgan is awesome! Full review coming when I finish it…
  • Gotta hit the sack early. LATERS!
