Sunday Mind Dump

  • awesome weekend. Though I skipped church Sunday morning, I went to church at four different churches this weekend. First, I checked out a new church plant here in Kyle. Then, I went to church online at newspring church, life church, and central christian church. Crazy cool!
  • By the way, watch this video from Central Christian in vegas. It will make you bawl your eyes out if you love Jesus and want to see people connect in a real, growing relationship with Him! I cry every stinking time I watch it. THIS is what life is about.
  • Do you know a good worship leader? Or even better, an entire band? I need one…soon.
  • Got a dang good run in this morning. Marathon training starts soon…
  • the house is ALL TORE UP. Furniture all over the place, primer, paint, tools, a feather pillow that exploded…nice.
  • I miss my family. Big time. Only 14 days til I see them.
  • Got a lot of work done on Grill-Zilla with my expert welding buddy Seth Pennington this weekend. Seth is easily the most dedicated and hardworking guy I know. And, he’s one of my best friends. Love him to death.
  • Went canoeing today on Town Lake with my sister. Had a blast!
  • About to start painting.
  • DANG…I’ll sleep good tonight! 6 mile run, long canoe trip and painting all in one day. That ought to do it. :)
  • Reading Nelson Searcy’s book “Launch.” Good stuff.
  • Did I say that I miss Amber and Couper?
  • Got a BUSY BUSY week coming up!

Sunday Mind Dump

  • Services this morning seemed long to me. I think it was because I walked around a lot trying to take it all in since its my second to last Sunday. I am having a HARD time accepting what life will be like without TCC every Sunday!
  • Had a Creative Team meeting today to begin solidifying the TCC Creative Machine that will take and run with many of my duties after I am gone.
  • The band was absolutely incredible today. SPOT. ON. Awesome!
  • Cole led us in worship for two songs out of the set and I loved it. The guy is truly a whatever it takes team player. I admire him in so many ways.
  • Crud. I’m getting mushy already.
  • Took a 24 hour trip to Dallas Friday and Saturday all by myself. The all by myself part stunk but the trip was awesome.
  • In Dallas I got to:
    • Go to the Rangers VS. Dodgers game. $200 tickets behind home plate FOR FREE. Ask me sometime how. I have a new system. :)
    • Attend a church planter training
    • Hang with some awesome church planters
    • Meet two Russian church plant pastors. These guys were crazy, scary smart. Like Kristi West smart.
    • Hear my Church Plant Coach, Sam Douglass speak. The guy just inspires the heck out of me and rips apart my strategy only to build it up even better each time I’m with him. I can’t believe I get to have him as a coach.
    • Hear Jeremy White, lead pastor of Stonewater Church in Granbury, TX speak. This guy is the real deal. He cares about one thing: reaching people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and equipping them to become committed followers of Him, so that they can GO and reach and equip more people for Jesus Christ.
    • Eat a lot
  • Whoa, that’s the first time I’ve had sub-bullets in a mind dump. I am getting all technical and organized. :)
  • Felt soooooo good to hold my boy after being away from him for a full week. In July, I won’t see him or Amber for almost three weeks. I think I’ll just lock myself in a room with happy flowers and bunnies while they are gone so that I don’t feel the pain…
  • Got a lot of good feedback from people today about watching Pastor Craig Groeschel’s “One Prayer: God is Love” message via video. I loved it!
  • I can’t believe how many kids got so sun-burned at Beach Camp. Put sunscreen on once every hour…knuckle heads. I know Pastor Nic told you over and over and over…
  • Just looked over at my wife. Wow. I cannot believe how beautiful she is. And she married me? My gosh…I am so out of my league…
  • Its new iPhone week. Yeah!
