One of the best ways (and most simple ways) we can fulfill the Great Commission is to just invite people to The Connection Church. That’s why we resource you with invite cards and evites. Elevate – Next Level Living

The Connection Church of Kyle, Texas

The details for the next series are up and out there. And I am PUMPED about this one! The art looks sweet and the sermons are in the making now. I get to preach the first week’s sermon called “The BIG ASK.” It is on prayer. I’ve never preached on prayer, so it is going to be a blast! We’ll be talking about a portion of Scripture from the most powerful teaching ever – the sermon on the mount (Matthew chapters 5-7) that Jesus gave.

What can you do connectors?

Send your friends an evite here. Talk it up. Don’t miss a week (its only a three week series.) Pray for God to give you opportunities to invite peeps. Then do it. Or, if you blog, blog about it.

Dear God

Prayers sent above

I found this website this week, dear-god.net. Almost like the Post Secret website, only a little more deep…and real…and true.  As I read through some of these posts / prayers, my heart hurt for people.

It is a good reminder of why I do what I do each day.  People need Jesus and they are searching for Him.

From the site:  “Dear God is a global project for people around the world to share their innermost hopes – and fears – through prayer.  It doesn’t matter what your version of God is…Jesus, Allah, Buddha or simply a spiritual universal energy… praying to a higher power soothes and heals. It’s scientifically proven that people who pray are healthier, happier and more resilient.”

NOT a healthy view at all, but a neat project nonetheless…

Feedback. A Champions Breakfast.

So, now that the glitz and glamor of day one at The PAC is finally over, I want to do what I am really best at which is evaluation, constructive criticism, and improvement. It’s in my nature to want to make things better and to create on the next level at all times…God has just built that into me.

I used to be on staff with a lead pastor that wouldn’t listen to a word of feedback…anytime I made any suggestion, the walls went up.  He missed out and was a terrible leader in part because leaders need feedback.  To lead you have to know the dreams of those that you serve.  Now, I serve with the most incredible, open, honest team there is anywhere.  That makes feedback easier to digest and share…

I believe that feedback is the breakfast of champions. So here we go, what was your feedback of The PAC day one? You can either share publicly HERE or e-mail me privately at zak AT zakwhite DOT com.

Let the breakfast begin…
