Revolution Church, God has placed a huge dream right in front of us! And only HE can make it possible.

When God has placed a dream inside of you that only HE can make possible, you need to fast and pray. Whatever He has put in your heart will only come out when you fast and pray.

Fasting is THE KEY that unlocks Heaven’s door and slams shut the gates of hell.

I’m not sure why we’ve ignored fasting for so long…other than we are just so addicted to KING STOMACH. Maybe we think fasting is only for religious fanatics or monks in a cave. Think about Jacob and Esau. Esau ended up losing his coveted birthright because of his allegiance to KING STOMACH. He literally ate his way out of God’s blesssings.

Fasting has always been an important part of a relationship with God. Think of Matthew chapter 6 where we read the Beatitudes. Jesus provides us with a pattern that addresses three specific Christian duties: giving, praying and fasting. Jesus said “WHEN YOU GIVE…WHEN YOU PRAY…WHEN YOU FAST…” He made it clear that fasting, like giving and praying, is a normal part of the Christian life.

In Ecc. 4:12 Solomon said a cord of three is not easily broken. I think this why the power of God is broken is so many Christ followers lives and they live a life of mediocrity. Many Christians are missing out on the most crazy, intense blessings and breakthroughs because we only live with a cord of one or two strands.

Think about the boy filled with demons in Matthew 17. The boys father says “I brought my son to your disciples, but they could not cast this demon out!” Then Jesus heals the boy immediately. Later that night, the disciples ask Jesus, “hey man what gives? We have been given authority to heal, why couldn’t we help that boy?” And Jesus says “…nothing shall be impossible unto you…this type only goes out by praying AND fasting!”

Fasting is for everyone. You can have the kind of power from God where “nothing is impossible for you” only if you will live out the full cord…GIVE, PRAY, FAST.

When you HUNGER for MORE, you will receive MORE. God will break all the religious rules for you.
