I Don’t Do This…

picture-1…but, today I am. I never review music on this blog for many reasons, but today I bought an EP that EVERYONE needs to get before Valentine’s Day. Husbands, jump over to iTunes and purchase Dave Barnes new EP, “You, the Night, and Candlelight.”

It’s only $3.99 which gives you plenty of scrilla left over to buy some candles, some good takeout, and some bubble bath for February 14th.

Disclaimer: This post is ONLY for you married folk out there…if I see any of you men who are not married picking up all three items at the store I’ll smack ya. If you are dating, you’d better only be getting the candles and food.

Sunday Mind Dump of Pumped Up Ness

  • As you can tell, I’m pumped up tonight!
  • Today’s service was awesome! The band did an incredible job and I heard lot’s of positive feedback from people!
  • Today is THE LAST day for your to help me out and win free iTunes money. Details here. GO NOW!
  • Trunk or Treat is coming FAST. Its this Friday and we are expecting thousands of people at the event! If you still want to help us show our community how much we love them, hit me up here. I have plenty of ways that you can help out for a couple hours on Friday evening!
  • Gotta finish planning our annual staff advance in the next week or two. Anyone got any cool, free ideas? :)
  • Yes, I wore a tie today and had a bandana hanging out of my back pocket. That’s just how I roll. I got a lot of goofy looks.
  • Yesterday, I went to the UT game with my buddy Dan Smith (see pic below). He is on the team at Lake Hills Church Downtown campus. I love what these guys are doing to introduce Austinites to Jesus! I hope to make it over one Sunday to check out their service. Pretty cool to be meeting in Austin Music Hall!
  • Speaking of Dan, pray for him. His foot is broken I think…it was swelled up BAD at the game. While I’m on a Dan rant, he also played football for UT a couple of seasons as a kicker. FLIPPIN’ SWEET!!!
  • Coolest website find in a while. You can go here to trade books, music, dvd’s, etc FOR FREE. Get rid of your old junk that just sitting on the shelf and trade it for something you’ll like!
  • Game four of the World Series is tonight! GO RAYS! Don’t care who wins, but if the Rays win, it ties up the series and make the series last longer! I’m all about more baseball!
  • No matter what I do, I CANNOT get enough of this blog’s posts. LOVE IT.
  • My family has a new family hobby I think…more on it this week.
  • I LOVE AMBER and COUPER!
  • I LOVE JESUS!

  • PUMPED that I am going to the TEXAS vs. the ok state cowgirls game with my homeslice Dan Smith. HOOK ‘EM!
  • PUMPED about preaching tomorrow! We’ll be checking out a story about a Governor as we continue our new series, Letters to the Next President. Bring a friend with you tomorrow!
  • PUMPED up that my marathon is getting close. You should hook me up so I can hook you up. Click here to see what I mean.
  • PUMPED about this cool new iPhone app that let’s you geocache. Pretty stinking cool! I’ve wanted to check out the whole geocaching thing, but haven’t had money to buy a GPS. iPhone already has one though so this is perfect!
  • NOT PUMPED that more people didn’t submit songs yet HERE.
  • NOT PUMPED (this is so random) that dog food prices are so high right now. Seriously. I paid $20 last night for the same bag of dog food that I was paying $12.78 for this time last year. WHY!?!?!
