- PUMPED about running my first marathon of the season in San Antonio tomorrow. Love this race because there is no travel involved…its in MY TOWN. Shooting for a sub four hour race. 26.2 miles, here I come!
- HAVING A BLAST with our house guests this weekend! Our friends Chad and Wendy Oglesby and their 4 kiddos are here with us.
- PUMPED about having my mentor John Atkinson speaking at our Revolution Church Launch Team Meeting in the morning. Don’t miss it team!
- PUMPED that I got to get out Grill-Zilla and cook for about 50 people today at a neighborhood block party. Met some good folk!
- NOT PUMPED that I won’t be with my Revolution peeps tomorrow.
- NOT PUMPED that I’ll miss John speaking tomorrow.

Crazy GOD Days
Ever had one of those days where crazy GOD things just kept happening?
I had one last week.
I was meeting with my buddy John Atkinson and sharing with him some of my plan to raise some startup funds for Revolution Church. Somehow we got on the topic of how we need a camera. My phone rang and I answered it. It was a friend and pastor, John Church, that wasn’t even on my possibilities list saying that Generations Church wanted to send us $1,000 to help with startup money. Incredible!
I thanked John and got off the phone. As I am hanging up the phone, John Atkinson pulls a camera out of his bag and says, “here.” And right there in Starbucks he just gave me his own personal camera so that Revolution Church could do some videos.
And that’s only two of the things that happened that day.
Just sharing to say this. G-O-D is GOOD.
Brilliant Blogs (and links)
- My buddy John Atkinson had an awesome post here on how we take stuff for granted.
- Maybe Churches could learn something from GANGS. Yes, GANGS. I’m serious. And so are my Catalyst peeps.
- I agree with Ben’s idea on being a creative genius in this post. I’ve lived it.
- Steven posted on controversy. Have you ever had someone that your heart just resonates with in every way? Furtick and I are connected somehow.
- Bobby Gruenewald posted on some things the Church could learn from Google. Awesome stuff. I agree.
- Our lead pastor, Cole Phillips posted about how we are striking back at IKE.
- A vintage Cadillac Zak post that I am resurrecting because it would rock to have some fresh feedback.
- And last, I am a Google guy (they run my life) but I hate their online photo tool, picasa. I am falling more in love with yahoo’s solution, FLICKR.
