- PUMPED about my sermon tomorrow. God has been blowing my mind with Romans 8:5-16. Check it out before you come to church tomorrow and you’ll be tracking that much better with me…
- PUMPED about an early morning meeting we had today…AWESOME STUFF coming up for TCC. Can’t give details yet…
- PUMPED about being back at church tomorrow. I was on vacation last week. It is one of the hardest things in the world for me to miss a single TCC service.
- PUMPED about something really really stinking cool happening tomorrow morning before service…but again, I can’t give out details yet. Man we are secretive.
- PUMPED about Micah singing “Beautiful the Blood” tomorrow. I can’t get enough of that song. Or any song Steve Fee does for that matter.
- PUMPED that you are reading this blog on a new web host. I finally dropped Startlogic.com forever.
- NOT PUMPED about the fact that I have only practiced my sermon a few times. Need more.
- NOT PUMPED about how badly I need some sleep right now. Couper has decided this week that his bedtime is 4am. Wonder where he gets that from?

- PUMPED about membership class tomorrow.
- NOT PUMPED about the lack of MLB on television. It gets worse every season.
- NOT PUMPED about the insane amount of design work I am going to be doing over the next few weeks…

This afternoon after building a riser for “The Maestro” (Ron Johns our keyboard player) I noticed that my shop vac was absolutely FILTHY. So, I turned it back on and used its own sucking power to clean itself. Interesting that you could clean something with itself…
May sound ridiculous, but it made me think of something: a lot of churches and organizations are so stuck on their own maintenance that they never accomplish much of anything new.
Your thoughts? Do you ever feel like your church or business is just spinning its wheels?

Ahhhh…mind dump.
- I love mother’s day. Mom, you are awesome. Amber, you are awesome to my boy! I love you both!
- Incredible day today at The Connection Church!
- We showed a “Team Hoyt” video today. That dang thing makes me cry every time. Good thing I was backstage.
- The PAC had their intelligent lighting out today. Freaking awesome. I think we’ll keep it. See pics below.
- Cool to wrap up our first series at The PAC. I get to preach next Sunday as we kick off the new series, called “Elevate.” Go here now and send an EVITE to all of your friends!
- Nice to have all of the band back. If you didn’t know, Brady Muckelroy, our bassist…the BEST BASSIST in the entire world (and that is no joke or exaggeration) had a baby girl this week. Congrats Brady and Susan!
- Instead of doing our normal Mother’s Day thing where we give each mother a flower, we decided to spend all of the money we would have spent by helping one mom that has some big needs in her life. It made a difference in her life and it was a symbol to all mother’s here at TCC.
- Mother’s we love all of you and couldn’t do what we do without you. As I walked the hall today, I saw the faces of the women in our church and thought to myself, we couldn’t reach people without these incredible women!
- Heather and Suzanne Gool (Connection Group Hosts) are going to Hawaii soon. I told them to take me as their cabana boy…I’m jealous!
- I am SO PUMPED about getting to preach next week!
- I LOVE MY CHURCH!
- I LOVE MY FAMILY!
- I LOVE JESUS!!!
