Man VS. Wife – Train Now

We are kicking off a new series called Man VS. Wife this Sunday at Revolution Church, but you don’t have to wait for church to start applying God’s Word to your marriage.

Here is what I want to encourage you to do each day as we get closer to our new series. Open up the Bible and read through Philippians 2:1-11. Read it every day and then pray these two specific things:

Jesus, let me see the areas I fall short in serving my spouse.

Jesus, let me see my spouse through your eyes.

See you Sunday for Man VS. Wife at 9:30am, 11:00am or 1:00pm!!!

Fandemonium Mind Dump

Super Bowl Sunday at Revolution Church was FLAT CRAY CRAY! I had a blast with all of you today!
BEST OF ALL, we had several people accept Christ today!
My grandma (Ninnie) and grandad (Mack) as well as my parents were in THE HOUSE today. Honored to have them join us! My grandad said “I didn’t have any trouble hearing in THAT church!”
We encouraged everyone to come wearing their favorite sports team gear and paint their faces. I was blown away at how many people participated – I’d say about 90% of the people came geared up.
I had my face painted in true Revolution Church colors and the entire band and staff were wearing custom made Revolution Church football jerseys. Had a blast with that!
I also got to wear my brothers SCUC Championship ring. PHAT! and FUN!
And my Ma showed up with my old hockey jersey on. REPRESENT!
The face paint wasn’t random. It was actually a part of the sermon, an illustration about how when you know Christ, His glory paints your face. Get the Revolution App to watch the sermon or go listen / watch here.
Speaking of watching online or via the Revolution App, we got new camera gear this week and now you can finally see some GOOD quality video of the sermon each week.
Halfway through the sermon, we had a “half time report” video interrupt me. It was hilarious and fun! I’ll post it later this week.
We gave a grill away to the craziest fan at the start of each sermon…all three services.
The Revolution Band did “We will rock you” by Queen. Talk about some ENERGY!
Remember: BE A BRANGER!!! Man VS. Wife starts next Sunday at Revolution! Our new worship times also start next week. Repeat after me: 9:30am, 11:00am and 1:00pm.

Jesus is Dead.

Have you ever thought that the first Christ followers only knew one thing when Jesus died on the cross?

He.
Was.
DEAD.

Today, we jump ahead to the Resurrection too fast. If Jesus had been crucified yesterday on Good Friday, we would only know one thing right now – that Jesus is dead. We would only know the bloody, messy cross. We would be focused on the fact that He paid a serious price for our sin.

Imagine the sense of lost hope that those first Christ followers must have felt.

And then, three days later…the stone was rolled to the side. The tomb was empty. His body gone. Word spread fast that He had risen.

Can you believe what that experience must have been like?

MAN!

Just a simple observation that has completely changed the posture with which I celebrate Easter and Holy Week. Right now, Jesus is dead.

Tomorrow, on Easter Sunday, we will celebrate His conquering death!

Thank you Jesus for the cross! Don’t let us EVER forget!
