Special Launch Weekend Prayer Focus

I believe that the single most important thing as we launch Revolution Church is that we are people of prayer. So, starting Saturday, Jan. 23rd at 6:30am we will have someone praying at all times for the Launch of Revolution Church for 12 hours straight.

5 Reasons Why We are Talking About Sex and Marriage

Why in the world are we launching Revolution Church with a message series about relationships, marriage and sex? Because…

Marriages are falling apart all around us. About 50% of marriages are ending in divorce. Its a fight and I believe that marriage is worth fighting for!
Marriage and sex were God’s ideas. Jesus talked about these issues and so should the church. We need to know what He says about them.
Marriage is not our opportunity to be served but rather to serve!
Revolution Church is all about helping people passionately pursue Jesus. And, if two people are passionately pursuing Jesus they will not pursue divorce.
I want the married couples that Revolution gets to speak to to have regular and awesome sex lives! If the sex is awesome inside the marriage then people are less likely to look for it outside of the marriage!

I believe that God is going to do some incredible things over the next four weeks and I am praying that there is much healing in marriages that are barely hanging on by a thread!

No Justice, But…

The video does NO justice whatsoever, but the Band that God has put together for Revolution, our worship leader Micah, the sound system we were able to purchase and the sound guy David are all absolutely INCREDIBLE. I wish I could take credit for making it happen but I can’t. I am so stinking pumped up right now…no way I’ll sleep tonight! And, we aren’t even launching until the 24th. Tomorrow is “soft launch” practice day!!!

Church Drive-Bys

Nobody knows this, but I’ll confess. I’ve been doing church drive-bys.

Yup. Since we moved to the Schertz area, I’ve been pulling up to a different church every Sunday morning and drive-by praying for that church. I don’t sit there forever. But I do pray for the pastor, the volunteers and most importantly, those who are spiritually lost that walk in that particular church on that day.

This simple act has helped me guard my heart from a spirit of competitiveness and has revolutionized the way I see other churches.

Biblically we are supposed to have Kingdom minded attitudes. However, our flesh often pulls us towards making our own little kingdoms. Doing this will help you keep the competition mindset out of your ministry and pour into others.

If you are moving somewhere to plant a church, make a list of churches in your community and surrounding area and then pray for them. Send them a thank you card or take them to lunch. In the best way that you can, HONOR them.

When we honor God’s Kingdom and Christ’s Bride, God honors us. Get out there and do some church drive-bys.
