The Women that Make it ALL Happen

Amber and CouperThere is no way I could be launching Revolution Church without my wife. She gives me strength, wisdom, encouragement, and support in ways I never thought were possible.

Rick Warren has Kay.

My mentor, Cole Phillips has Pam.

Steven Furtick has Holly.

Jud Wilhite has Lori.

And if those guys are anything like me, they’d admit that if they had never met their wives, they’d probably be in jail or dead. :)

Amber, I am so thankful to be on this ride of life and this incredible adventure of launching a new church with you!

Heroes, Rebels, Revolutionaries

I realized something this week. Most of my heroes are or were rebels and revolutionaries. Here are a few examples:

My Dad (Da-O) – This man goes against the grain in every way possible. I love him for it and I am who I am because of all he taught me.

As a kid I loved Jose Canseco – Obviously the wrong kind of rebel…oops. I “struck out” on that one…just like Jose did so often. ;)

Rey Mysterio – A wrestler that did absolutely new and INSANE STUFF if you ask me.

Travis Pastrana – The greatest and most psychotic motocross racer and free-styler of all time. And he’s younger than me. Rent the movie 199 Lives and watch it. It embodies who I am in many ways.

Rick Warren – A rebel for Christ who simply does what the Spirit tells him to. Really, thats ALL you need to be a rebel.

Jesus – Need I say more?

Who are your heroes?

Sunday Mind Dump

Coming at cha on Monday from the plane to Orange County…

• This is posting on Monday. I needed to chill with Couper and Amber before I left town for the week…that was more important than blogging. ☺
• That said, this week I will be TWEETING like CRAZY. Be sure to check out the twitter feed at www.twitter.com/cadillaczak or just watch it over there → on the right side of the blog. You can click the blue links to see pictures.
• Really enjoyed preaching about prayer yesterday. It was a different kind of talk than I am used to but it was powerful to see people get on their knees at the end of the service and spend some time with God.
• Amber hand made the shirt I was wearing. My wife is the coolest, hottest, best mom, wife, woman in the world. Seriously.
• Hoping to hook up with some guys I look up to while we are on the left coast this week.
• This conference is an “invitation only” conference. Rick Warren has hand picked about 1,000 people from all over the world to attend and talk shop. It is a HUGE honor that Cole and I get to go to this.
• Hopefully we can find some edible food in Cali. Last time I was there it was all nasty. Except for In and Out Burger.
• Pray that Cole doesn’t snore. :)

Catalyst: the worst part…

The ONLY BAD part of Catalyst was that I did not get to walk up to Rick Warren and cry out “RICK RICK…why haven’t you blogged since July 2nd? I NEED YOU. RICK…WHHHYYYYY????”

Anyone else missing Rick’s podcasts and blogs? I know I am.

Oh.  It also stunk that I didn’t have the $189 to pre-register for next year.  :(   But mostly just the Rick think…WHYYYY RICK?
