- PUMPED about the Creative Church Conference that we just returned from. God spoke to me in some huge ways! More on that in the coming weeks.
- NOT PUMPED about our HOA dues. Gotta love how companies think they can just raise rates a bunch and then tell you that an annual fee is due in a few days.
- NOT PUMPED that I didn’t get everything done this week. I guess it will still be there on Monday.
- PUMPED that my family gets home tomorrow…did I already say that?
- PUMPED about Catalyst West and the official catalyst west tweetup. Check it if you are going!
- PUMPED about a conversation Cole and I had on the way home from C3 this week about our connection groups. Yeah! C’mon!

Superbowl Sunday Mind Dump
- Today was an AMAZING start to a NEW SERIES at THE CONNECTION CHURCH. We kicked of a 4 week series called Rock of Love. Its all about relationships and marriage.
- Today, we saw record attendance. We didn’t mail out a card or hand out postcards. We didn’t launch a special website. But, we did do everything we could (on the zero budget we had) to empower people to invite their friends…and they did. Connection Church…YOU ROCK.
- LET’S DO IT AGAIN THIS SUNDAY!
- Cole’s message was awesome today. I personally know of one couple who has been living together (not married) that the message today touched deeply. I’m pretty sure they’ll get hitched soon.
- Micah and the band did a slamming job with the music today!
- The PAC was PACKED OUT today. Awesome!
- The huge crowd caused big space issues in Tiny Town. A great problem to have and one that we’ll jump on this week. You can help us jump on it by attending the EARLY SERVICE each week until we say otherwise. THAT is a super easy way to help us reach people!
- The Superbowl actually turned out to be a great game. I would have loved to see the Cardinals win (so Jerheme Urban could have a ring; he played with my bro in college) but at least three former Longhorns are taking home rings with the Steelers!
- I still maintain that the Horns should play in the Superbowl every year.
- Looking for a cheap, used trampoline for Couper. The kid loves to jump…anyone got one?
- Amber found me a FREE ENGLISH BULLDOG PUPPY today…I want one bad. But, we have two dogs and no room for another. If I could have one, I would name him something cool like Blaster, Ritz, Craps, or Gambler.
- Starting a new marathon training program this week to get me ready for the Texas Cowtown Marathon!

- PUMPED about our new message series that starts tomorrow, ROCK OF LOVE!
- PUMPED about running with my Dad again on Feb. 28th in the Texas Cowtown Marathon. Funny, I remember how much I used to fret about a long race…now its kind of just another day.
- PUMPED that Nic got his hot tub up and running today. Ummmm…they are going to have to just go ahead and give me a key…it will be easier than me calling and begging ever other day or so.
- PUMPED that I got to chill with my family all day. Awesome! Sometimes, doing nothing feels good. That is something pretty off the wall and crazy for me to say…
- 100% CONVINCED that if everyone in the U.S. understood this and did something about it, the world could change, forever.
- SAD that some of the “Church growth haters” out there on the web don’t understand that LOVE is all that really matters. It baffles me. Why can’t we just love people? What’s wrong with loving people?
- WONDERING what it must feel like to have no guts. Love how these critics that are out there on the web use random names on comment sections of blogs and fake emails. They are cowards, hiding behind keyboards. CRUD! ZAK, LOVE…remember…LOVE!
- NOT PUMPED that our Executive Administrator, Kristi West, crushed me today by sharing the official U.S. flag code with me…it appears that Texas doesn’t have any special flag privileges after all. That does not change the fact that TEXAS is the greatest state in this Nation!
- NOT PUMPED that I didn’t get to go shoot stuff today. You can’t buy 9MM ammo around here anywhere. Thanks for nothing all you “scared that Obama will take our guns away” psychos.
Rock of Love THIS SUNDAY!
ROCK OF LOVE begins this Sunday and I am PUMPED UP. We’re pulling out all the tricks in the bag for this series and February is going to be incredible at The Connection Church.

Cole will be giving an awesome, clear presentation of the Gospel…so get that person to Church on Sunday that you have been wanting to share Jesus with. Do whatever it takes (other than sin) to get them to Church! Buy their lunch if you have to!
I am desperately begging God to do something incredible this weekend at TCC. I am anticipating some BIG things! Will you pray with me & do the same? Will you invite people who are far from God?
