- SERIOUSLY PUMPED about church tomorrow. I had one of those weeks that just went on forever…seems like a month since we last had church.
- PUMPED about it being spring break. Not sure why. I’ll just be at the office working away…
- PUMPED that John Maxwell went to jail. Well, not pumped, but its cool that he shared about it. Many leaders would hide something like that.
- PUMPED that I got to spend a ton of time with Couper this weekend.
- SUPER PUMPED about our very first ever Good Friday Service.
- PUMPED about God’s most wanted!
- PUMPED about the BIG HUNT this year. NEW VENUE!!!
- NOT PUMPED about how behind I am on this.
- NOT PUMPED that its still stinking cold and wet outside. AHHHH! The weather ruined my weekend plans, but we need the rain bad.

Sunday Mind Dump
- I loathe time change.
- Today was UH-MAZE-ING at The Connection Church.
- I learned about this church shooting literally seconds before walking out on stage to close the 2nd service. I just about lost it. Things like this break my heart…especially when the victim is a church.
- Please pray for First Baptist Church of Maryville, Illinois where this shooting happened.
- This is why we have armed security each week. Too many psychos out there. That said, I hope that our security team has the most boring job in the world every week.
- Awesome to see people putting more names on God’s Most Wanted lists today. INCREDIBLE.
- We had a young woman that had a seizure in the lobby today. Please pray for her. She is doing fine.
- Note to self: always call ALL musicians on time change sundays the night before and remind them of time change.
I’m just saying… - Had some close friends that I absolutely love tell me today that they “just appreciate that I am real with everyone.” That is a huge compliment. I am who I am…all the time.
- Loui Canchola and his MUCH better half Michelle were in church with us today, checking it out. LOVE that guy!
- I had the MOST incredible, complete God meeting today. I was shaking the whole time.
- God is doing some HUGE stuff at The Connection Church…can’t wait to share with you!
- Today, Perry Noble said, ““The two biggest problems in this country are consumer debt and obesity. It’s not because we don’t have enough. It’s because we don’t manage what we have well.” WHOA. NAILED IT.
- If anyone has a whiteboard they don’t need holla.
- Time for bed. Seriously!
Superbowl Sunday Mind Dump
- Today was an AMAZING start to a NEW SERIES at THE CONNECTION CHURCH. We kicked of a 4 week series called Rock of Love. Its all about relationships and marriage.
- Today, we saw record attendance. We didn’t mail out a card or hand out postcards. We didn’t launch a special website. But, we did do everything we could (on the zero budget we had) to empower people to invite their friends…and they did. Connection Church…YOU ROCK.
- LET’S DO IT AGAIN THIS SUNDAY!
- Cole’s message was awesome today. I personally know of one couple who has been living together (not married) that the message today touched deeply. I’m pretty sure they’ll get hitched soon.
- Micah and the band did a slamming job with the music today!
- The PAC was PACKED OUT today. Awesome!
- The huge crowd caused big space issues in Tiny Town. A great problem to have and one that we’ll jump on this week. You can help us jump on it by attending the EARLY SERVICE each week until we say otherwise. THAT is a super easy way to help us reach people!
- The Superbowl actually turned out to be a great game. I would have loved to see the Cardinals win (so Jerheme Urban could have a ring; he played with my bro in college) but at least three former Longhorns are taking home rings with the Steelers!
- I still maintain that the Horns should play in the Superbowl every year.
- Looking for a cheap, used trampoline for Couper. The kid loves to jump…anyone got one?
- Amber found me a FREE ENGLISH BULLDOG PUPPY today…I want one bad. But, we have two dogs and no room for another. If I could have one, I would name him something cool like Blaster, Ritz, Craps, or Gambler.
- Starting a new marathon training program this week to get me ready for the Texas Cowtown Marathon!
Rock of Love THIS SUNDAY!
ROCK OF LOVE begins this Sunday and I am PUMPED UP. We’re pulling out all the tricks in the bag for this series and February is going to be incredible at The Connection Church.

Cole will be giving an awesome, clear presentation of the Gospel…so get that person to Church on Sunday that you have been wanting to share Jesus with. Do whatever it takes (other than sin) to get them to Church! Buy their lunch if you have to!
I am desperately begging God to do something incredible this weekend at TCC. I am anticipating some BIG things! Will you pray with me & do the same? Will you invite people who are far from God?
