Well, Steven Furtick has done it again. He has issued me yet another serious leadership beat down. It’s about keeping your mouth shut. The scene in Tommy Boy where Chris Farley says, “let me tell you why I suck…” comes to mind.

So let me tell you why I suck…I don’t always keep my mouth shut when I should. Sometimes, I shoot my mouth off.

We could all do better at keeping our mouths shut when presented with the opportunity to say something negative about someone that God is using. I do have issues with other pastors…it bugs me that Joyce Meyer spent so much on a toilet and that Joel Osteen tells horrible jokes.

But if I truly had a KINGDOM perspective, if I had the heart God wants me to have, I’d be praying for these people rather than talking about them.

Thanks for issuing me my needed beat down Steven.  God is using you in my life to mold my leadership regularly.  You challenge me and inspire me.
