Great Coaches = Great Churches

First, check out my initial post on coaching if you haven’t read it yet.

GREAT coaching takes an investment. I have learned that spending money to get great coaching actually pays for itself many times over.

There is not one person that can coach you on every area of your church. At Revolution we use many specialized coaches. And likewise, I have several personal coaches. Over the next several days, I will be giving you a glimpse into my different coaching relationships and how they each have helped us continue to stay focused on Loving God, Loving People & starting a spiritual Revolution in one life at a time…

Coach one:

FINANCE.

For all things money, finance, fundraising and even for our bookkeeping, we use Casey Graham and The Change Group.

These guys are the REAL DEAL when it comes to coaching. More than anything, they want to see people reached with the Gospel through your church.

The coaching that Casey has provided when it comes to raising money, financing special projects and strategizing through the different giving cycles that all churches go through has been invaluable.

Honestly, I have no idea how Revolution Church would exist without Casey and his team.

I would recommend that ANY church, whether its a brand new plant or a 150 year old monument, hook up with The Change Group immediately. Its a new paradigm for church finances.

And. It. Works.

In fact, I believe in them so much that I will offer right now to pay for any pastors room and rent car to attend The Change Group’s next EXPLODE Giving Intensive. First one to contact me that is SERIOUS about going gets it.

Just shoot me a note saying that you are interested via the contact form at the top of this page and I will get you all the detailed info you need to make a decision about going.

Funding Your Ministry

I get asked often how we funded Revolution Church. Starting a church is HARD. It takes LOTS of work and LOTS of money. I tell planters all of the time, if I could do the pre-launch stage over again, I would have raised more money.

There are many many things that God did at Revolution that have helped us succeed so far. One of the biggest things was when God put us together with The Change Group.

Now that we have launched the church, much of our fundraising focus has shifted. My friend Casey Graham at The Change Group has released a new resource that has helped us a great deal with that shift.

Its called the 5-5-5 Seminar.”

The seminar covers the 5 Cycles of Generosity, 5 Key Financial Systems of Increase and 5 Reasons People Give. I would challenge ANY pastor to get this resource NOW! Some of the biggest things I learned from it were:

  • That we can see financial increase any time during the year
  • That developing a Personal Financial Ministry in our church was important
  • That the time right before summer is very strategic to increase digital giving
  • That first time givers MUST be communicated with and cheered on!
  • That our offering times could be done differently…we saw increase immediately when we made a few easy changes!

The 5-5-5 Seminar might be a small investment…but it will help you see BIG INCREASE in your church or ministry. The Change Group believes in this resource so much that they have even guaranteed that you will see results in 90 days.

GO GET THIS RESOURCE NOW.

4 Stages of a Vision

I had a short IM Chat session with Casey Graham of The Change Group yesterday. In about 2 minutes he rocked my sad depressed little world…yesterday was one of those crummy days in church planting. They can’t all be peachy.

By the way, if you need someone to focus on your church finances so that you can focus on your church for much less than you’d pay a staff member, check out The Change Group. Tell them Zak sent ya and you’ll get something extra special…maybe.

Thanks Casey, I needed to hear what you said BADLY.

Here is what Casey said related to vision:
