The Music Man at The Connection Church

When we met at Tobias Elementary School, my dad would always joke and say “there’s Zak’s Church. They let a school meet there during the week.” Not exactly the truth, but I like to think of it that way.

Now, every Sunday, we meet at the Hays Performing Arts Center.

It really is an incredible building and a complete GOD THING that we get to meet there.

Each year, the PAC puts on a big musical. This year’s is “The Music Man.”

I want everyone from The Connection Church to go see it. I’ll be at the showing tonight at 7pm.

If you can’t make it tonight, catch it tomorrow at 2pm or 7pm. Tickets at the door are $10. You’ll be encouraging tons of students (many that go to TCC!) and supporting the place that supports us 52 weeks out of the year. Plus, its cheap entertainment and you don’t have to fight Austin traffic

Saturday Night Shots

Saturday Night Shots…THE PAC Edition!

  • PUMPED about trying out all of our new equipment
  • PUMPED about the insane potential that tomorrow has
  • PUMPED about Starbucks being on my way to The PAC.  :)
  • PUMPED that my parents are here to share in the fun tomorrow
  • NOT PUMPED that I still have no car
  • NOT PUMPED that Couper busted his lip open and tore his gums this morning.

But, MOST OF ALL, I AM PUMPED about the LIFE CHANGE that will happen tomorrow because of what Jesus Christ did through the ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE that he did for us on the cross and the ULTIMATE ENCORE that he gave us by conquering the grave three days later.  I’m sure I’ll sleep VERY LITTLE tonight.

So I leave you with this…I just put Couper to bed and he left me something special…

he got me!

The PAC is COMING…

It is less than 24 hours before our move to The PAC.  I’m sure I won’t sleep tonight; I haven’t slept much this week.  God is stirring something deep in my soul and I cannot wait to see how he uses our church this Sunday to change lives.

We are taking the Gospel to the world THROUGH the local church, just like we are supposed to.  And yes, you guessed it, I AM PUMPED

We’ve created the “perfect storm” of marketing.  There are people wearing t-shirts and handing out cards.  We were on the front page of the Kyle Eagle.  There is a HUGE full color ad in the Hays Free Press.  We mailed out almost 22,500 Lifeline cards to every home in Kyle and Buda.  We’ve been doing radio spots on The River for two solid weeks.  There is a BUZZ and God is about to do something crazy cool…

But there is one thing that matters and makes a bigger difference than anything…prayer.  Pray for these things:

  • that our community would show up to check it out
  • that Cole is able to share what God has placed on his heart in a simple way
  • that the kids in Konnection Kidz have a blast!
  • that The PAC loves us
  • that all of our new equipment would co-operate with us
  • that the band ROCKS OUR FACES OFF
  • that lives are changed because of what Jesus Christ has done for all of us.

Set Design
